It is a great pleasure to welcome students, parents, faculty and staff to the 2008-2009 school year. Here at Memorial Middle School our goals are to create an environment where all students can succeed, develop, maintain and nurture relationships through respect, trust, and accountability; and to challenge our students with a rigorous curriculum that will prepare them to excel. Our staff recognizes the challenges of contemporary society and embraces the need to be innovative in order to meet the educational needs of our students. Memorial Middle School continues its tradition of success by providing opportunities for our students to engage in activities that develop problem solving skills, promote critical thinking, and enhance leadership skills. In addition, our faculty is committed to teaching our students the "tools of scholarship" focusing on study skills, Cornell note-taking, and organization. We look forward to an exciting and eventful 2008-2009 school year dedicated to making this year the most productive for both students and staff. We invite parents to serve as partners with us in their children's education and welcome them to visit at their convenience. To our MMS students, welcome back.
